STARS Step: Adopted

Adopted is the third step in the STARS framework. It measures how many companies have used the feature enough to count them as having adopted the feature. 

You typically set an activation threshold by defining the number of times an interaction needs to occur before a company is moved into Adopted.

The Adopted step is an early proxy for feature success. Ideally, a majority of accounts will be in Adopted. If not, there may be a discrepancy between the user problem and the feature that’s been implemented to solve it.

It is followed by the Retained step.
